MFW:  Dolce & Gabbana F/W 14.15

Lovely foxes, big-eyed owls and squirrels were appliqued onto lace dresses with huge fur hoods. The silhouette was classic Dolce & Gabbana, with the exception of long dresses with empire waist. Collection I would love to have in my closet!

PRADA: BACKSTAGE GIRLS, MILAN FASHION WEEK A/W 14

Look here- we’re in the wings of Miuccia’s latest imagining. We’re using the word ‘wings’ in order to get into the theatrical spirit of things of course. Those seated front of house will have well appreciated this since receiving their invite which read ‘act 2’-the first act having been shown during menswear in January. Note the models expressions, a little more contemplative than usual. Their excitement reduced from the winks and posturing we often get in Jason’s shots, to knowing little smiles that say- ‘Wow, I’m actually part of this!’

FENDI: BACKSTAGE GIRLS, MILAN FASHION WEEK A/W 14

From looks smattered with tiny specks of colour in a way that somehow resembled images of the cosmos, to a little Gonk type creature made in Mr. Lagerfelds image opening the show, and oh yeah- the tiny helicopter type things filming proceedings- there was a lot going on at this seasons Fendi show. Straining for at least 20 minutes- we’ve somehow come up with our most favourite bit. Look here-backstage, at the artful eruptions of fur. A Fendi signature applied with a new spin. A slight she hulk/were-woman suggestion of a wilder side about to burst forth, that looked madly amazing as each little tuft bounced around on its way towards the runway. A ‘Wild Women Do’ moment if you will. Ta very much Natalie Cole.
